Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has presented the 2025 budget of N526.88 billion to the State House of Assembly. Titled "Transformation and Infrastructural Sustainability," the budget allocates N349.39 billion (66%) to capital expenditure and N176.30 billion (34%) to recurrent expenditure.

Key allocations include:
- **Infrastructure**: Road construction, completion of the Independent Power Plant, water supply projects, and drainage systems
- **Education**: School construction and renovation, instructional materials, teacher training
- **Healthcare**: Primary healthcare center renovation, specialist hospital upgrades, medical equipment
- **Agriculture**: Lugu Dam reconstruction (N33 billion), irrigation infrastructure, farmer support programs
- **Security**: Acquisition of security vehicles and support for security agencies
**Economic Growth Projection**
With the largest capital investment in the state's history, Governor Aliyu projects massive economic growth in 2025. The infrastructure investments are expected to create thousands of jobs, attract private investment, boost agricultural productivity, and improve quality of life.
**PPP Provision**
The budget includes allocations for PPP project preparation, signaling government openness to private sector participation. The state has identified several sectors suitable for PPP arrangements and will provide funding for feasibility studies and transaction advisory services.
Governor Aliyu assured citizens that 2025 will witness even more developmental projects, with no community left behind. "Together, we will execute projects that promote economic growth, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development," the governor stated.
